New UNM-Taos/School of Visual Arts Residency Fellowship

The University of New Mexico-Taos Department of Fine Arts, Film and Digital Media is pleased to announce an official collaboration with the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City and the inception of the UNM-Taos/SVA Residency Fellowship. The recipient of the new fellowship is UNM-Taos student Selena Pacheco.

Coming to Life: The Historical Women of Taos

The University of New Mexico-Taos, in collaboration with the Taos Arts Council, is pleased to present the forthcoming mural Historical Women of Taos. Beginning on May 3, internationally recognized muralist Jenny Ustick will create a mural on the south wall of Rio Grande Hall on Civic Plaza Drive. The mural will feature four historical women of Taos, who were chosen by the community of Taos and the Taos Pueblo.

The University of New Mexico-Taos is pleased to present Howl: The Voice of UNM-Taos 2023 Art & Literary Journal. In its third year as a digital publication, Howl continues to use this format to uphold greater inclusion and representation of Taos creatives.

UNM-Taos: Beyond a Hispanic-Serving Institution Designation

Due to its acceleration of and commitment to Latina/o student success, UNM-Taos is one of six colleges featured in the recently released report, Beyond an HSI Designation: Exploring Strategic Practices for HSI Grant Participation by the Latina/o-led, data-driven organization Excelencia in Education.
