On May 14, UNM-Taos hosted a public meeting to discuss an exciting new project: Cielo Centro. This observatory, in the works for four years, will feature the largest public-access telescope in the state, offering students and the general public a unique opportunity to explore the skies.

Fine Arts student chosen for NYC summer residency

The University of New Mexico-Taos Department of Fine Arts, Film, and Digital Media is pleased to announce the summer 2024 recipient of the UNM-Taos/School of Visual Arts Residency Fellowship—Petra Marguerite. Petra will be attending the four-week Bio Art Residency in New York City.

The 2024 edition of Howl: The Voice of UNM-Taos 2024 Art & Literary Journal presents over 60 artists, writers and filmmakers as well as the Fine Arts, Film and Digital Media faculty, the 3D Printing Program, a collaboration between the Art and English Departments, and the Historical Women of Taos mural.

Empowering First-Generation students at career leadership experience

For TRIO-SSS students there are often a lot of “firsts,” especially for the First-Geners. From April 12-14, seven UNM-Taos TRIO-SSS students participated in the 2024 First Generation Student Career Leadership Experience at the Florida International Biscayne Bay campus in Miami.
