Starting college can be both exciting and overwhelming. Our virtual New Student Orientation program is designed to help new students acclimate to campus life, meet faculty and fellow students, and learn about the resources available to them. Join us for orientation and start your UNM-Taos experience on the right foot.

Reasons to Participate

Student Orientation is crucial because it:

  • Introduces you to the campus, resources, and services available
  • Provides important information about academic policies and procedures
  • Helps you meet faculty, staff, and fellow students
  • Prepares you for the first day of classes and beyond
  • Ensures you have a smooth transition into college life

Welcome Back Schedule

New and returning students celebrate the start of the fall semester each year with a week-long Welcome Back festival that includes a BBQ and info fair, outdoor movie screenings, and a block party and ribbon cutting ceremony. Other offerings include helpful demos on financial aid and academic support. Join us!
