Advisement Services

img_0408.jpgAcademic and Program Advisement are available by appointment by calling 575.737.6215. Students are encouraged to meet with an advisor before registering for classes. Many students will find Advisement Holds restricting them from registering via LoboWeb. If this is you—don’t stress! Call or email us and we will get you taken care of.

UNM-Taos Advising encourages all students to develop a program of study plan and to make sure that steady progress is being made toward the completion of a degree. Haven’t done so yet? Not to worry, there’s still plenty of time. Want to change your major? Great! That’s what we are here for—contact us as soon as possible to schedule an appointment.

Students who have not yet decided on a specific degree program should meet with an academic advisor to review education goals prior to registration. Remember, program and course selections are ultimately the student’s responsibility, but with the right guidance from your academic advisor, you’ll make a decision that you can feel confident in!

Academic advisors can help in many different areas, not only in scheduling classes. If you have questions about grades, academic concerns, transferring to Main Campus or other schools, or just about anything else, an advisor can help get the information you need.
