Definitions
AA: Associate of Arts
Two-year transfer degree with general education and pre-major coursework
AS: Associate of Science
Two-year transfer degree with general education and pre-major coursework
AAS: Associate of Applied Science
Two-year degree leading to employment or continued study
CERT: Academic Certificate
One-year program leading to employment or continued study
Admissions Requirements
First-Time Freshmen
- High school diploma or equivalent
Transfer Students
- Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities
- High school transcript (if fewer than 24 transferrable hours)
- Evaluation of transfer credits
International Students
- Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent)
- Evaluation of foreign transcripts
- Visa and immigration documentation
Non-Degree Students
- Student must either be at least 21 years old—or have graduated from an accredited high school (or equivalent) and have been out of high school for at least one year
- Transcripts are not required. However, a transcript may be needed to verify completion of prerequisite coursework
