'It's Your Film'

During the afternoon on Feb. 10, UNM-Taos Film and Digital Media Arts (FDMA) hosted students from Film Prize Junior New Mexico (https://www.filmprizenm.com), for a demo of the new FDMA space on Klauer campus and to take part in a filmmaking workshop for high school students. The workshop gave the budding filmmakers the opportunity to describe their films and get feedback from FDMA faculty and the program’s advanced internship students about ways to proceed with their projects.

UNM-Taos traffic, parking, safety improvements underway

A UNM-Taos project has been funded to create a new Klauer campus entrance from County Road 110. It will start just past the main entrance, wind around the new Pathways building, and loop toward the back of campus near the trailhead and the Kids Campus, meeting up with the current main road

Pair of UNM-Taos Grads ‘Score’ Carson National Forest Jobs

During a recent Northern New Mexico Climate Change Corps (CCC) semester meeting, it was announced that UNM-Taos associate degree grads Peggy De’Scoville and Ganga Little were selected for Pathways positions as Natural Resources Student Trainees with the Carson National Forest (CNF).

Campus Trail Enhancements Planned
February 1, 2023
In January, UNM-Taos received the NM Outdoor Recreation Division (ORD) Trails+ grant to restore and upgrade the existing trail developed by the Rocky Mountain Youth Corps NM (RMYC). The plan is to enhance the trail with the addition of fitness stations, signage, and an “Art Walk.”
