The Taos Education & Career Center (TECC) is thrilled to welcome Dr. Jacqueline Gallo as the new High School Equivalency Coordinator in Adult Education.
Dr. Gallo brings more than 20 years of experience in education leadership, curriculum development, and student success. Her impressive career has included teaching and leadership roles in public, charter, international, and independent schools across the United States, United Kingdom, and Italy. Most recently, she served as Head of School at a K-8 institution in California.
An advocate for expanding educational opportunities, Dr. Gallo’s research focuses on educational access for underserved populations and includes extensive fieldwork in Uganda. She is also the founder of Ejoka Education, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating educational and economic opportunities in partnership with Karamojong communities.
At UNM-Taos, Dr. Gallo is passionate about helping adult learners reach their goals through student-centered instruction, encouragement, and support. Her wealth of experience, global perspective, and commitment to learner success make her a wonderful addition to our campus community.
