Review Admission Requirements
Ensure you meet the Admission Requirements, including any specific prerequisites for your chosen program.
Complete the Online Application
Fill out the Online Application Form. Gather and submit all required documents, including high school equivalency transcripts, college transcripts (if applicable), standardized test scores (if applicable), and proof of residency (for in-state tuition rates). You may also apply by mail.
Apply for Financial Aid
Don’t forget to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to determine your eligibility for financial aid. Visit our Financial Aid page for more information on grants, scholarships, and loans.
Complete Placement Testing
Schedule your placement tests (if required) for your program. Our Placement Testing page has all the details on how to prepare and schedule your exams.
Attend New Student Orientation
Once admitted, attend our Student Orientation to get acquainted with campus resources, meet faculty and fellow students, and start your journey at UNM-Taos.
Register for Classes
After completing Admissions and Placement Testing (if applicable), schedule an appointment with Academic Advising to discuss and enroll in classes.
