Memorial Scholarship
$800 per academic year, paid on a semester basis.
The Scholarship may be awarded to the same student in successive semesters until graduation, provided the student is making satisfactory academic progress toward a degree or certificate and is maintaining a grade point average of 2.5 or better.
Scholarship Guidelines
Applicants must be legal residents of New Mexico and United States Citizens
Applicants must be enrolled in a degree or certificate program at UNM-Taos
Applicants who have earned an Associate or Bachelor degree are NOT eligible
Applicants must provide high school and college transcripts or GED transcript with application
In addition to demonstrated financial need, primary criteria for scholarship consideration are a candidate’s academic promise (generally defined), maturity, character, leadership, perseverance, and commitment to community service.

An official application, including a written essay, up to 500 words, on your personal and professional aspirations, and the supports and challenges you face in accomplishing your goals and dreams in attaining a college education.
Length of Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded for a maximum of four (4) semesters at UNM-Taos. Eligibility for scholarships is determined each semester based on the previous semester performance as stated in the requirements.
Deadline & Notification of Award
Applications must be hand delivered to the Financial Aid Office (not postmarked) by November 30, 2007.
Notification will be given the week of December 10, 2007.
