EDUCATION LIAISON College and Career Prep Program
SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, provides assistance in the development and delivery of training and distribution of educational and informational materials within the College and Career Prep education program. Provides peer advisement and support and prepares students for higher education opportunities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Provides and develops sequence of presentations on group and individual basis to high school and GED students on importance of higher education and provides informational support to College and Career Prep Program students.
2.Provides student support in the development of educational and career plans.
3.Conducts literature searches and participates in trainings in subject area, using both manual and computerized means, .
4.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED.
Enrolled at least six hours and eligible for financial aid
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge and understanding of the importance of higher education.
Ability to develop and prepare training/educational materials and informational literature.
Ability to effectively interpret needs and act as an advocate for students.
Ability to travel to area high schools and other sites within region.
Skill in the use of personal (Mac) computers and related software applications.
Ability to conduct literature searches.
Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
