Calligraphy by Pearl Huang, UNM-Taos
Instructor
Pearl Huang was born in China and grew up with a traditional
classical education and training. She came to the United States
to pursue a multi-cultural education and to explore various
aspects of East/West synthesis studies. She is a member of American
Association of University Professors, Screen Actors Guild, National
Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators. As a
teacher of Chinese language, Chinese brush calligraphy artist,
performer, and Tai Ji/Qi Gong practitioner, she has created
a unique learning process to promote a holistic approach for
better health and spiritual growth. She came to Taos in 1997
and joined the UNM faculty in 2002. Her class for "Chinese
Brush Calligraphy Qi Gong" has been very well received.
Subsequently, classes for Chinese language, Tai Ji, and Qi Gong
have been created by popular demand. In addition to teaching
UNM classes, Pearl teaches private sessions at her studio. Workshops
