Ginger Mongiello, MA
Ginger Mongiello is an award winning Taos artist who has shown her work extensively from coast to coast. She works in several media, including drawing, painting, mixed media, photography, and ceramics. Ginger has had over 20 solo exhibitions and has taught extensively in Michigan, Wisconsin, and New Mexico. In 2006 she was invited to exhibit with the US State Department’s ART in Embassies program. She received the “ Best in Abstract Photography” award in the Taos Invites Taos show for the past two years. Her work is included in significant public and private collections, both nationally and internationally
Ms. Mongiello holds a BFA degree from the University of Michigan and an MA in Art Therapy from the University of New Mexico. She is on the faculty at the University of New Mexico-Taos. She teaches Art and Healing 1 & 2 in the Holistic Health and Healing Arts Program – both experiential courses on the role of art in personal and creative well-being, based in a study of the Imagination and Improvisation. She also teaches “Introduction to Carl Jung” in the Psychology program. She teaches her classes at her art therapy studio, The Art Space, where she also has maintained a private practice in art therapy for 21years.
