What we do:
Print (Taos News, Sangre de Cristo Chronicle, UNM Today, etc.)
Internet and digital media
Broadcast Media
Miscellaneous
Unfortunately, we do not have the manpower or the budget to help faculty members advertise individual classes. There are far too many classes for our small group to handle. Also we do not want to appear as if we are spamming or otherwise abusing our social media networks. Therefore print, radio, Email, Facebook and Twitter campaigns to promote classes will be done at our discretion. The Taos News Community Calendar, Annuncios and Que Pasa free announcement services are generally the responsibility of the individual.
When creating and printing your own materials you MUST have a UNM Taos Logo prominently displayed on them and include contact information such as phone numbers and email addresses so the interested party can get more information.
You as an instructor can develop a "Story", meaning a full-on Press Release with pictures, web links, and contact information about your class, student(s), or yourself, it can be submitted for consideration as a Taos News Articles or Blog Post and possibly including Email List Servs, Facebook, Twitter, and calendar postings.
We CANNOT use the Student or Instructor list serv for commercial or personal announcements.
So get to writing! We love success stories. And please let us know how we can help.
The UNM-Taos Communications Committee is committed to projecting a strong, clear, consistent message to the communities, institutions and individuals we serve. In order to accomplish this goal we request that all communications directed outside the college be routed through the Committee so that we can continue to convey the most effective message possible. All solicitations for funds as well as any plans for fundraising activities or events must be directed to Louis Moya, Development Director.
