UNM-Taos is excited to present it's fourth year of Integrative Massage Therapy Program (IMTP) designed for students seeking an opportunity to become a licensed massage therapist in the State of New Mexico. The program’s mission is to offer an integrative and holistic approach to massage therapy while gaining a strong basic knowledge and experience so that upon graduation and successful completion of the program you can obtain your license to practice massage therapy. We are offering a basic program of 650 hours and an advance certificate of 1000 hours. UNM-Taos is dedicated to guiding you through process so you will be prepared to successfully take one of the national exams and aid in obtaining employment as a massage therapist.
The 650 Certificate in Integrative Massage Therapy is designed for individuals who would like to sit for the state licensure exam which is required for entry-level employment in massage therapy. The 650 hour program meets the minimum requirements to sit for the licensure exam. Formal application and acceptance into the program is required before enrolling in class with a MAS prefix.
The 1000 program combines the 650 program with the requirements for a Certificate in Holistic Health and Healing Arts in order to complete the requirements.
Our program is full for Fall of 2012. Next enrollment period is Spring of 2013 for those who wish to enter part time to attend clinicals in Summer of 2013. Additionally, the program catalog, program requirements, school calendar are available for download via PDF. After your application is received you will be set up for an interview. Interviews for Spring 2013 will be conducted in November. There is an additional $1,000 Program Fee to enroll in IMTP.
Our program is growing fast and we are already full for up for the 2012-2013 school year.

Every Summer we open our classroom to the public for Student Massage for $25 an hour. To schedule an appointment call (575) 741-7808 during June and July only.
Summer 2012 will begin in the second week of June for eight weeks every Thursday and Friday from 10 am to 3 pm. We are located across the street from the Holy Cross Hospital Emergency Room on the backside of Taos Rehabilitation and Sports in UNM-Taos Holistic Health, Nursing and Sciences Building. Plan to arrive 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork.
All proceeds go to our Holistic Fund for student awards, program development and to raise money for a future building!
