Associate of Arts in Human Services

The Associate of Arts in Human Services is a program of study designed for students who intend to investigate and pursue paraprofessional careers in various human services fields, including social work, public health, community mental health and other social services. It is also designed to prepare students for transfer into Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science programs in these related fields.

Computer proficiency is required for admission to some universities. It is recommended that students include a course in this area if they seek a four-year degree. Language proficiency standards may require students to take additional course work in second language for admission to upper division work in some universities.
